After being diagnosed with breast cancer, Debbie’s sister would send her notes and card with Keep Your Pecker Up, an old British term that means to Keep your Spirits up. So, after joining a Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat team and going to the International BCS Regatta in Italy in 2018, Debbie met women from all over the world, heard inspiring stories and felt they just had to be told.
